survival

I think I have lived in "survival mode" for a very long time; since and maybe before my diagnosis. Today, I came face to face with my choices and I realized I did not have to live this way anymore. I have found the cure for my "incurable" disease. I can have a life and thrive. I don't have to just make it through any longer.
